Your “home away from home” was perfect for us to visit Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument!
The first day we visited the Washington State Park Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center and Johnston Ridge Observatory.
The second day the highlights were Ape Cave, Trail of Two Forests and Lava Canyon.
Our third day we enjoyed Cedar Creek Grist Mill, a picnic at Lake Merwin and barbecue at the gazebo at Maple Ridge House.
Our final day we drove to Windy Ridge to look down into the new Spirit Lake by taking the scenic route to eastern Oregon.
Everyday we had time for hikes and thoroughly enjoyed our hosts!

Thank you thank you and THANK YOU! Tim and Lee, your home and property is like a piece of heaven. Our mother Opel and Uncle Charlie thought the place was the best and most beautiful they have ever seen. Your kindness and visits were perfect for us and made this the best place to visit our families nearby. Thanks so very much.
